thanks for the amazing video as always, watching Sr. Tommy made me recall why i i built my studio for, because i was thinking about shutting down the studio because i was getting back what i invested but get the money back was not what made me built the studio. if U know what i mean ahahaha

very nice, but how do you keep this dust free? :D btw, your zone for the singer is not good. There is absolutely no room to move and I would worry to constantly bump my head against the ceiling.

hands down, best in terms of hearing the gear i like that he has it set up most optimally for himself, everything is super quick to start playing and making music i love that he has no chair, standing, dancing, feeling the music with all that natural light makes for a really great space great tour

One of my favorite parts was the mic stands lol. Because I have a Warm Audio WA-CX12. Ive been a customer of Warm Audio since 2016. I bought a rackmountable Tonebeast back then. I still use it til this day and have their WA273-EQ. I wish they would make a rackmountable summing mixer with effects and hamonics. Like Dangerous Music does.

Funny too, i had the exact same experience with a pre amp, first time we had a proper one at hand recording ourselves, what a revelation that was, haha!

I have to admit, many years ago, i thought Warm Audio was the U.S. version of Behringer, cheap, mass produce stuff and the orange of the tone beast did not help. As silly as that is, but i am quite certain, everybody will prefer the black version, looks so good. As soon as i am out of my current predicament, i will invest in the Warm Audio 73eq, the Warm MPX and i'm more than tempted on the gorgeous, WA-44. Should probably get a compressor too, hm?

That's some good info. Thx. I'm currently looking at expansion as well and not sure if I should go with external pres and an x16 or straight to an x8p. My current set up is an x4 with Audient ASP800 for 8 additional pres via adat. I also own a Neve 1073 DPX and to be quite honest I actuall rarely use the Unison pres unless recording a band where I need all 12 of my inputs. I keep flip flopping between the thought of x8p and x16 as I know I'll likely want to add more external pres. This video is going to make me look very closely at the 4 710. As for your question of which pres to get next I love my 1073 DPX and would also look at API or the WA412. Depending on how you want to expand the Audient ASP 800 is quite impressive. The vintage channels get used all the time even on some of my stereo bus mixes. The other 6 channels are very clean. No inserts though, the ASP880 has inserts for each channel.

One of my favorite things in this video is that, when Andrew is doing the introduction of the video in his own home studio, he's holding a mic, but you can clearly see there is nothing plug into it, and there is a visible mic on his shirt collar. So now I'm just laughing thinking about how he's doing this with his mic for aesthetics, but is watched by people who love and care about this stuff and so he must want someone to point it out right?
